Kartódromo Internacional de Palmela (KIP) is the data controller for the personal data collected through the kip.pt website, in particular through the Online Booking process and the Contact Form.

We only collect the data necessary to provide the services you request:
When booking a race ("Make reservation" modal), we collect: name, email, phone (prefix +351), tax identification number (when provided), company (optional) and date of birth. This data allows us to create or update your customer record, process the booking, send confirmations and payment instructions by email, and manage the associated event (including the Race Day platform when the booking is confirmed).
Documents related to the booking (e.g. liability forms) may also be requested and are stored securely and accessed only by our internal team.
The contact form collects: name, email, phone (optional) and message. This data allows us to respond to your request and follow up on your enquiries. Submissions are stored for internal management and customer service history.
The website uses strictly necessary cookies for the service to function. In the administration area (internal panel), a session cookie (httpOnly, SameSite=Strict) is used for authentication, with limited duration. We do not use marketing or third-party advertising cookies on the public website.
The site may store your language preference (PT/EN) to improve your experience. You can change the language at any time using the selector in the header.
Data associated with bookings and customers (members) is kept for as long as necessary for the management of the contractual relationship, compliance with legal obligations and the exercise or defence of rights. Contact form submission data is kept for as long as necessary for handling and any follow-up.
When no longer needed for these purposes, data will be deleted or anonymised, unless there is a legal obligation to retain it.
Under applicable law (GDPR), you may exercise the following rights in relation to your personal data: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and objection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Portugal, the CNPD – Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados).

Data is processed on secure servers and communications with the website are protected. Only authorised KIP staff have access to personal data for the purposes described. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Transactional emails (booking confirmation, payment instructions, etc.) are sent through trusted email service providers in accordance with security best practices.
Changes to this policy will be published on this page with the date of the last update. We recommend that you read it periodically.
